Backstory Brewery

The Backstory Brewery is a renovation project that transformed a well known, yet deteriorating building in the town of Sulphur Springs into one of the most popular spots for a drink. Over the lifetime of this building it served a purpose of many things from slaughter house to ice house, finally becoming a community hang out for live music and unique beers brewed right inside.

The intention of the renovation was to maintain as much of the industrial look and ambiance as possible, while creating a modern and contemporary feel. From its original concrete floors, exposed brick, and use of many existing elements the conversion to a brewery was a unique way to preserve the history of the town while giving life to the building, and to the community.
